I’ve written a few personal essays in my time, some of which have been published in their physical form only.
The Guardian asked me to contribute to their summer series, so I wrote about falling in love with my new allotment.
You can also read my personal missives in the windowsill (my newsletter) archive. Some of my most popular pieces include reflections on the she/they pipeline, how love is fostered and not found, my grand anticipations for my trip in Uzbekistan, why many of my ambitions have waned with time and negative space identities. I also loved writing this short piece about depression bathing a few years ago.
For Where The Leaves Fall, I wrote about the distress caused by watching my local pond evaporate during a heatwave. It can be found in Issue 13.
WePresent asked me to write about the concept of ‘Comfort Culture’, which was very fun.
I’ve written about being unable to think about the future due to depression in gal-dem’s ‘The Roaring Twenties’ print issue. Also, for the website, I wrote about the surreal reality of winters getting shorter and how I was tired of chasing old version of myself.
For Bustle, I wrote about the unexpected grief that came with an adult ADHD diagnosis.
